Don St.Pierre – Founder / President, Director of Engineering Solutions
Don is a 25 year veteran of the electronics / semiconductor industry. He formed DesignLinx in 2009 after 14 years with Xilinx. While at Xilinx, Don held various positions in Applications, Hardware / System Design, Field Applications Engineering (FAE), and Technical Services Management. Don earned 9 U.S. Patents during his employment with Xilinx in San Jose, and later earned the prestigious award of North American FAE of the Year (2005) – an award given to Xilinx FAEs based on outstanding customer support, account growth and development.
Prior to his employment with Xilinx, Don worked as a Digital Design Engineer designing with Xilinx’s early FPGAs as a U.S. Government contractor headquartered in Southern Maryland.
Don is an Air Force Veteran, having served from 1986 to 1994 as an F-16 / A-10 Test Station and Component Technician. He holds an MBA and earned his BSEE from the University of Connecticut.
Brian Mulhearn – Director of Embedded Solutions
Brian brings 30 plus years experience in the electronics industry. He has been with DesignLinx since November of 2012 in the role of Director, Engineering Solutions, with a concentration is in Embedded Processing, ARM and MicroBlaze. Prior to this he spent 7 years with Xilinx, Inc., as an Embedded Specialist assisting customers with embedded processor designs using the PPC 440 and MicroBlaze Soft Processor. As an Embedded Specialist FAE Manager, Brian defined and orchestrated the efforts of Xilinx’ regional sales teams, FAEs and specialists to collaborate on the best solutions for his customers. He solicited customer feedback and initiated the role as liaison to the factory to drive better solutions for processors, tools and IP, and solutions incorporating products such as Wind River vxWorks, and Open-source Linux, for example. Brian designed content and set schedule for embedded training programs and conducted field technical marketing activities for Xilinx’ embedded processing solution.
Prior to joining Xilinx, Brian was employed as an FAE at Altera and Mentor Graphics. He was an ASIC and FPGA designer with General Instruments and while at Oryx, a NJ based start-up, he obtained a patent for a programmable delay cross bar switch.
Brian earned his Master of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.
Ken Jurjovec – Director of Engineering Solutions
Ken has been in the electronics / semiconductor industry for 18 years. Ken joined DesignLinx in 2009. He worked at Xilinx for 10 years in Longmont, Colorado where he held various positions. While at Xilinx Ken drove and managed Applications Engineering teams, Professional Services and Customer Technical Support. Prior to Xilinx he worked in Boulder, Colorado at Ball Aerospace as a Reliability Engineer.
Ken received his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Engineering (BSEE) degree from Colorado State University.
